  • Abstract:

    This thesis aims to detect the principles and recommendations for implemantation of Construction Manager as Constructor (CMc) Project Delivery System in the construction of public buildings, which are carried out in accordance with the Turkish Public Procurement Law (KIK). The contract documents, which are prepared by AIA and ConsensusDOCS, have been compared with KIK contract documents in terms of design and construction services. In consequence of this comparision between the two systems, specific differences of CMc project delivery system have been identified. The principles and recommendations, which are related to changes in KIK bidding and contracting documents for using CMc project delivery system in implementation of design and construction services, have been determined. To ensure the validity of these principles and recommendations, the principles and recommendations in related laws and regulations have been also determined in the scope of this thesis. The principles and recommendations that presented at the result of this study, constitute the first and the most important step for practice of CMc Project Delivery System in construction of public buildings, which are carried out in accordance with KIK.
